Summary / Role Purpose

On a daily basis, the A/P Accountant will review/process expense reports in the Concur Expense tool for compliance with policy, handle Concur Expense employee import errors, administer Concur Expense, train employees of newly acquired companies on Concur Expense and assist other accounting teams with questions.

The A/P Accountant will also be responsible for entering various vendor invoices, processing payments to various vendors and employees in a timely manner. The A/P Accountant will assist with the matching of incoming invoices to current purchase orders, scanning of invoices and supporting purchase orders into the document management system and follow up as questions arise. The A/P Accountant is also responsible for reconciling general ledger accounts from time to time as they relate to A/P.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review expense reports in Concur Expense for compliance with the travel policy and necessary receipts
  • Research and resolve Concur Expense employee information import errors
  • Research and resolve other team's Concur Expense issues
  • Handle employee Concur Travel and Expense inquires
  • Entering various vendor invoices as needed
  • Matching incoming invoices to current purchase orders as needed
  • Scanning of incoming invoices and supporting documentation as needed
  • Assist team with the reconciliation of A/P related general ledger accounts
  • Handle vendor inquiries
  • Maintain files and accounting documentation
  • Other clerical or accounting tasks as assigned by management

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • 3-5 years of payables experience or accounting related experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Commitment to customer service
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
  • Experience with Oracle or other ERP preferred
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts
