Your New Role:

This position will collaborate with a dynamic team to develop the data technology stack required to provide end-user insights for the enhancement of upcoming digital products and strategies. You will contribute to establishing an internal data pipeline and devising methods to optimize data technologies in shaping our digital data approach.

Your Role Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend brand and enterprise data warehouse/reporting needs to influence data architecture and modeling tactics. Utilize this knowledge to create suitable ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading) processes, database queries, and data/permission models that facilitate data aggregation and reporting for actionable insights
  • Demonstrate a passion for coding that is efficient, structured, straightforward, and scalable to meet business requirements.
  • Show eagerness to learn and identify opportunities for improvement and adaptation in daily engineering tasks.
  • Complete end-to-end JIRA User stories meeting the team's quality standards.
  • Have familiarity with BI Tools and the ability to construct semantic layer models for business users
  • Understand multiple datasets to conduct ad-hoc analyses for various business units
  • Engage in QA testing for data pipeline projects and implementation modifications to the set of analytical tools

Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or information technology.
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering
  • Proficiency in programming languages – SQL, Python, AWS (Amazon Web Services) Glue and databases (Snowflake, Postgres, Dynamo DB)
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services – Kinesis, Lambda, IAM (Identity and Access Management) Policies
  • Skilled in software delivery through continuous integration (e.g., git, bitbucket, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Experience with one or more automation and scheduling tools (e.g., Redwood, Airflow, etc.)
  • Competence in leveraging creative analytics techniques and results to convey a narrative that guides business decisions
  • Promote the capabilities and advantages of analytical data assets. Collaborate effectively across departments and stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen and critical problem-solving skills, with a flair for strategic thinking

Preferred but not Required Experience:

  • Proficiency in public speaking and presentation skills.
  • In-depth understanding of API connectivity and data streaming architecture
