You will be working as Quality Manager at global grade 10 and will be part of Electrification business area for Smart Power division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Manufacturing Unit Manager and will be responsible for deploying and leading the quality and warranty service strategy, including quality culture, systems, tools and competent teams with the aim to achieve and even exceed customer expectations, while ensuring sustainable operations.
Your responsibilities- Leading the development, implementation and maintenance of comprehensive quality management systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations
- Establishing and monitoring quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with product specifications, regulatory requirements and customer expectations
- Overseeing quality control activities, including incoming inspection, in-process inspection and final product testing, to identify and address quality issues in a timely manner
- Collaborating with procurement and supplier management teams to evaluate supplier performance, conduct supplier audits and drive improvements in supplier quality
- Overseeing all aspects of warranty service management, including the handling of warranty claims, resolution of customer issues and coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to address product defects and failures
- Providing exceptional customer support by promptly addressing customer inquiries, concerns and warranty claims and ensuring timely resolution to enhance customer satisfaction
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects and optimize manufacturing processes. Implementing tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean and Kaizen to drive process excellence
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Minimum 15 years of experience in quality management and warranty service roles in a manufacturing industry
- Strong understanding of quality management principles, warranty service processes and customer support best practices
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
