Job Description:

In the HPE Chief Technology Office, we lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for all of HPE. This includes managing the design, development, and product portfolio of our next-generation cloud platform, Green Lake. Working with customers, we help them reimagine their information technology needs to deliver a simple, consumable solution that helps them drive their business results. What you'll do:

5-7 years of experience in developing applications for Cloud, Kubernetes and container environments.

● Proven skills and programming experience in Golang, scalable concurrent processing, REST, Data Caching Services, DB schema design and data access technologies.

● Experience Java/Golang and developing Network Management applications architecture, design, development and support.

● Experience in building, orchestrating and deploying highly scalable REST based stateless APIs/web services for web applications in Kubernetes and/or Cloud environments.

● Experience in developing, deploying and maintaining applications for Public Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Cloud)Experience contributing at all stages of software development life-cycle.

● Familiarity with code versioning tools - such as Git, SVN.

What you need to bring:

Preferred:

● Strong knowledge developing network management software for managing Cisco, Juniper switches or routers configuration methods (Linux, Cisco-like CLIs, JUNOS CLIs)

● Knowledge and/or experience in working with IP Routing, TCP/IP protocols, Socket Programming and Client-Server communication paradigms.

● Experience with SNMP and Networking MIBs, vendor specific MIBs.

● Experience with networking protocols and concepts such as routing, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF/ISIS, NetFlow, SNMP, and Internet Traffic Engineering techniques.

● Strong knowledge developing Kubernetes applications with Observability principles.

● Rich experience and/or exposure to highly scalable and compute intensive Kubernetes environments.

● Knowledge of the principles of CNI. Familiarity with a few CNIs.

● Understanding of microservices design and architectural patterns.

● Knowledge/Experience in developing, deploying and maintaining applications for Public Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Cloud)

● Expertise in Linux

● Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments.

● Comfortable collaborating with team-mates working from around the globe.

Desired (as many as possible):

● Experience with Helm charts.

● Knowledge of Auto-scaling constructs in Kubernetes.

● Knowledge of Kubernetes Orchestration tools such as Rancher Desktop etc.

● Knowledge of Kubernetes and Application observability.

● Knowledge of Linux Networking (sockets, netdevices, namespaces, routing, bridges, iptables, conntrack, networking device drivers etc.), Container Networking technologies (Docker), Linux Storage architecture etc.

● Knowledge/Experience in debugging network performance issues with Switch/Router based packet and interface counters and fault conditions.

● Familiarity with Graphs, Trees, Shortest Path Algorithms etc.

● Familiarity with Load Balancers, Firewalls etc.

● Familiarity with Kubernetes (Ingress, Load Balancers, Services, PODs etc.), CNI Plugins and packet paths for POD-to-POD communication etc

● Knowledge of Python, Shell scripting etc.

● Experience working on open-source projects.

● Experience in DevOps and CI/CD implementation.
