Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manager of Business Development to lead our efforts in acquiring clients interested in hiring students from upGrad.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, business development, and client relationship management, with a proven track record of exceeding targets and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition: Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients who are interested in hiring students from upGrad's programs.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decisionmakers and stakeholders within target client organizations.
- Consultative Selling: Understand client needs and requirements, and tailor upGrad's offerings to meet those needs effectively.
- Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline efficiently, from lead generation to closure, ensuring timely followups and effective communication.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as Marketing, Sales Operations, and Program Delivery to ensure alignment and maximize opportunities.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to the management team.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred but not mandatory.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or business development roles, preferably in the EdTech or Recruitment / Staffing Industry.
- Track Record: Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, with demonstrated success in acquiring new clients and building longterm relationships.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the education industry, particularly in the context of corporate training and talent acquisition.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions effectively and influence key stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities for business growth, with a focus on driving revenue and market expansion.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams and contribute to a positive work culture.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales productivity software.
