Production planning department is responsible material expedition and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the production process.
Duties include a specific focus on the materials and goods required in the production phase, ensuring the working space is properly maintained to have optimal performance.
Responsibilities and RequirementsSupport activities to sales, Project management, and after-market by providing technical & costing information.
Creates production schedule and prioritizes job-orders for production optimization and on-time shipment.
Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation.
Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer demand.Complete status reports for production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory.
Collaborate with Production, Supply chain quality control, warehouse, and other staff.
Interacts with shop floor management on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information as requested from Manufacturing, Projects, and QA.
Data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand.Verification & Confirmation of Production plan beginning of every month.
Adequate knowledge in production planning and quality control principles.
Experience in ERP system preferably Oracle and Microsoft Office products with strong computer skills.
Qualification
Bachelors / Master's in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Relevant experience (8 to 10 years) within the related industry including knowledge of industry practices and standards.
Proven experience working as a Sr production planner for engineered Industry preferably large pump company.
Excellent ability in reading Engineering drawings / documents / Reports.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.
Proficiency in advanced excel and Power BI dashboard reports.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills.
High level of presentation and reporting skills.
Commercial sense, Market intimacy.
Flexible, self-motivated individual with a positive and proactive approach and strong customer service ethic.
Detail orientated and data focused.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Identify bottlenecks and ensure proper utilization of all resources to achieve operational targets.
Conduct daily meetings to keep track of planning & production schedules.
Assist in new product development and enhancements.
Responsible for addressing warranty & Site complaints.
Develop and achieve departmental/company goals and controls. Make suggestions for improvement in areas of cost reduction, processes, quality, and productivity.
Ability to initiate corrective and preventive action and RCA.
Collaborate with peer group to identify and consistently implement best practices.
Define the performance expectations and communicate to team members clearly, articulate / clarify the criteria for success.
Ensure effective inventory management with acceptable values, turns, and availability to meet the operation's objectives.
Encouraging continuous improvement in all processes and services.
