We are looking for a Software Development Manager (SDM) to tackle difficult problems in the areas of distributed systems, efficient large scale data processing, data dependency and flow control systems, flexible and serverless compute .

This is a tremendous opportunity for SDMs who want to lead and grow a team of talented SDEs to build a reliable and scalable solutions to enhance selection for our customers.



In this role, you will:

  • Partner with Sr.

SDEs, Principal Engineers, and Product management to define and grow the technical and architectural vision for Selection Monitoring's mission-critical multi-tenant compute and data platform.


  • Deliver and own scalable, faulttolerant, and highly available services that underpin our large scale data processing solutions.
  • Build and own systems for Data discovery and lifecycle management of hundreds of datasets spanning several Petabytes.
  • Develop solutions to efficiently deploy and orchestrate hundreds of application flows across a hybrid set of compute environments.
  • Utilize serverless and container technologies to build nextgen scalable compute layer solutions.
  • Build and grow a team of high performing SDEs, and be responsible and invested in career growth of your team members.
  • Drive operational excellence initiative and continuously improve quality bar for software delivered by the team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of engineering experience
  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
