POSITION SUMMARY


The Candidate will have comprehensive understanding of the processes and workflows that are associated with Manufacturing and Part Planning, Ability to interrogated, analyze, comprehend, and interpret various Engineering Drawings, Models, Bills of Materials, Technical Specifications, Quality Documents, Bell Process Framework, and departmental procedures as necessary to perform assigned production planning work.


The candidate will need to have knowledge of Aerospace Manufacturing processes and have good understanding in sheet metal/composites, aerospace structures/assemblies and precision machining.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES


Ability to determine, order, and provide instructions necessary to produce and coordinate requirements associated with machining, manufacturing, bonding, assembling, and installing engineering requirements necessary to manufacture and assemble assigned work in accordance with Manufacturing Engineering Project Policies, Program Policies, Program, General Tooling Document, and companies Process Framework.

Skillfully transform engineering designs into text, graphic and animated shop instructions.
Efficiently performs top-to-bottom BOM creation, reconciliation and maintenance activity

Hands-on experience and good knowledge in a wide variety of manufacturing processes associated with detail part & assembly of large aerospace structures.

Good knowledge in sheet metal fabrication, surface finish processes, heat treatment processes, sealant application, bonding and machining.
Assist in investigation and resolution of complex manufacturing related issues with a logical and a systematic approach.
Methods planning and execution using tools like Enovia, CAMS, SAP, Catia V6, 3Dvia etc.
Knowledge in Quality, Tooling and Electrical planning an added advantage.

Must be able to collaborate and work with multiple disciplines within Manufacturing Engineering and demonstrate exemplary attitude and conduct with respect to attendance, job assignments and support of all company efforts.

Works through a disciplined approach in initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing tasks and projects to achieve specific goals to specific success criteria.

Must be self-motivated and mentor others and be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

The candidate will need to be flexible and work in various groups in Bell India and at supplier locations in India & abroad based on assignment and business needs.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES


Ability to clearly interpret engineering specifications, Proficient reading and understanding of complex engineering drawings, GD & T and Bill of Material, skills of Precision part measurements and interpreting CMM/laser tracker reports.


ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES
Assertiveness and excellent verbal and written communication skills, works well with diverse groups of people.
Excellent computer skills in the use of Microsoft products Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
Good understanding of shop floor practices.
Familiarity with quality control procedures and ISO/AS9100 standards.
Knowledge in Quality and Tooling an added advantage.
