WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager at Partners & Marketplace Engineering - India Capability Centre, who will guide you to grow and build your career path. You will be directly working within a team of dedicated engineers that work on the similar solutions. As Software Engineer I, you will support the team with conceptualizing, coding and testing software to solve business problems. You share your experience and technical expertise such that we improve on the longer-term technical strategic direction.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for engineers, who are passionate about crafting great code and building high quality Backend applications with best software engineering principles and standards.
A minimum of 1-3 years Backend software development experience
Experience working in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environment
Must have experience in micro service architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful Services using languages such as Java, Node, Python etc
Experience working in any of the distributed/cloud-based environments such as AWS, GCP, Azure etc.
Knowledge of common design patterns
Strong experience in backend system development
Experience in Test Driven development with AI tools like GitHub Co-pilot
Experience with distributed processing of large datasets including Kafka, SQS etc
Experience with continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience preferred with tools like Jenkins, GitHub
Working knowledge of Scrum and agile principles
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
Comfortable working with globally distributed and diverse teams
Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other relevant subject area, or equivalent experience
Experience with monitoring and tracing tools like Splunk, SignalFx, ServiceNow etc
Experience working with any of the NoSQL data stores like Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB etc
Experience working with relational data stores like MySQL, Oracle etc
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
As a Software Engineer I in Partners & Marketplace Engineering organization, you will be part of developing and delivering solutions for various Nike applications and platforms that deals with elevating partner commerce experiences, to bring best in class consumer experiences to our consumers worldwide. We invest and develop advances in technology and employ the most creative people in the world, and then give them the support to constantly innovate, iterate and serve consumers more directly and personally.
In this role,
You will be part of a mission critical team focused on building a high-throughput, low-latency, fault-tolerant commerce applications, that drive Nike's customer engagement
You will be contributing ideas for new features and identifying technical areas for improvement proactively collaborating with product team members at Nike to design, develop, and deploy a highly scalable partner & marketplace system and services
You will use your in-depth experience in software development to write clean, tested, and well-documented code
You will remain current with industry trends and participate in development of key innovation features
You will help the team with continuous improvement in performance, scalability, extensibility, reliability, and usability of features by leverage agile methodology concepts for quality, delivery and continuous improvement
You will work with your local team and geo graphically dispersed engineering teams to provide technical expertise on development and architecture
You will be responsible for backend development
You will build highly scalable and efficiently performing applications
