Position: Application Engineer (Chiller Solutions)

Location: India Office - Pune, Johnson Controls

What You Will Do: As an Application Engineer, you will provide critical technical product application support to the Sales, Consultant Sales (BOD), and Project Teams, with a focus on Air-Cooled and Water-Cooled chiller equipment opportunities in the Saudi Arabian market. Your expertise will ensure the optimal selection and application of chiller solutions, driving the success of our mission through three key areas:

How You Will Do It:

1. Application Support:

• Respond to field inquiries regarding product specifications, application capabilities, and manufacturing constraints.

• Identify customer requirements and guide field sales in crafting solutions that align with these needs.

• Optimize the scope of supply for Air-Cooled and Water-Cooled projects across multiple product requirements.

• Review and evaluate special options requests, providing support for Special Quotation (SQ) needs, including developing subcomponent specifications, engaging with suppliers, and understanding factory manufacturing capabilities.

2. Expert Solutions:

• Provide technical clarifications to field sales and customers, including direct engagement with customers when necessary.

• Advise field sales and key customers on system design approaches, enhancing competitive advantage through tailored equipment packages.

• Ensure alignment between field support and chiller product offerings, collaborating closely with product management teams to strategize solutions.

• Define specifications for chillers and subsystems to effectively support project opportunities.

3. Product & Applications Development:

• Monitor and analyze common inquiries and challenges to identify new application opportunities and develop new special quotation offerings.

• Contribute to the development of application literature, product presentations, and training materials as needed.

• Provide constructive feedback to product teams regarding available resources, tools, and documentation for field sales and customers.

• Deliver training presentations on product updates and new products to field sales and key customers, in coordination with product teams.

• Participate in industry organizations and technical seminars as required. • Monitor and provide formal feedback on codes and standards relevant to product applications.

What We Look For:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in Chiller Solutions: application engineering, product engineering, or technical marketing.

• Strong technical and business acumen in chiller applications, with expertise in air-cooled and water-cooled solutions.

• Background in District Cooling and Datacenter Cooling Solutions is a plus • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
