Job Duties
  • Analyse coal samples using coal testing parameters.
  • Supervise the Coal Sample Preparation processes.
  • Perform general analysis of coal, including GCV, GAR, and Proximate Analysis.
  • Conduct Total Moisture and Inherent Moisture Analysis.
  • Perform Ash Analysis and Trace Element Analysis.
  • Conduct Ultimate Analysis (Fixed Carbon, Sulfur, Volatile Matter, ARB, ADB, UHV).
  • Perform Moisture-holding Capacity Analysis.
  • Manage sample stock.
  • Supervise coal sampling preparation.
  • Conducted complex laboratory tests and procedures to analyse the sample accurately and efficiently.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Prepare and process samples according to standard operating procedures and protocols.
  • Ensure all laboratory activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Document and interpret test results, maintaining detailed and accurate records.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to laboratory equipment and procedures.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to junior lab technicians and analysts.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to support research and development projects.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, laboratory technology, and best practices for analysis.
