Job Description

Manage and deliver ad-hoc research projects for pharmaceutical and life sciences companies, including:

  • Market assessments
  • Competitive analyses
  • Digital health roadmaps
  • Epidemiology studies
  • Analog benchmarking
  • Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies
  • Brand and portfolio strategies


The role involves conducting desk research, performing quantitative analysis using IQVIA data assets, developing storyboards, managing stakeholders and projects, and supporting business development and process improvements.


Principal Accountabilities/Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth desk research to understand target markets, companies, or opportunities: Gather information through secondary research and IQVIA data sources based on client-specific requirements.
  • Integrate qualitative and quantitative data and present structured analysis with value-added insights.

Lead strategic projects for pharma and life sciences companies, including:

  • Opportunity assessment
  • Disease and market landscape analysis
  • Competitive intelligence
  • Analog benchmarking
  • Digital roadmap development
  • Market sizing
  • Brand and portfolio strategy
  • Ensure high-quality outputs with minimal supervision; proactively identify risks/issues and escalate as needed.

Project Management

  • Act as project lead, owning assigned client accounts:
  • Serve as main point of contact for clients/internal stakeholders.
  • Prioritize workflow, oversee deliverable quality, negotiate timelines, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet internal timelines and deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Build and maintain strong client/stakeholder relationships.

Education, Experience & Specialized Knowledge

  • Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences from a recognized premier institute.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Consulting, or Professional Services Outsourcing organizations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Prior experience in Primary Intelligence preferred (not mandatory).
  • Experience with Power BI and Python is a plus (not mandatory).
  • Experience with IQVIA datasets preferred (not mandatory).

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data with strong analytical and structured thinking skills to generate actionable insights.
  • Expertise in designing project methodologies, leveraging cross-IQVIA resources, and extracting key learnings aligned with client objectives.
  • Skilled in managing client expectations and communications independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage across organizational levels and build collaborative relationships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including PowerPoint, for global stakeholder interactions.
  • Ability to conceptualize innovative research ideas and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Highly detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and adaptable under pressure to deliver high-quality work.
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethics; proactive in identifying issues and delivering impactful solutions.
