Working Days: 6 days

Shift Timing: 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM

Role Overview

We are looking for qualified Chartered Accountants with strong experience in Direct Tax assessment, litigation support, search & seizure cases, and client advisory. The role involves handling end-to-end tax matters, representing clients before tax authorities, and supporting senior leadership in complex tax issues.

Key Responsibilities

1. Direct Tax Advisory & Compliance

  • Manage and review corporate and individual tax computations and returns.
  • Provide technical support on domestic tax laws and their application.
  • Prepare submissions, replies, and documentation for various tax matters.

2. Assessments & Litigation

  • Handle assessments before the Income Tax Department.
  • Assist in drafting appeal documents for CIT(A), ITAT, and higher authorities.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel and internal teams to prepare for hearings.
  • Represent clients during hearings, assessments, and inquiries.

3. Search & Seizure (S&S) Matters

  • Support in planning, documentation, and analysis related to search & seizure cases.
  • Review seized materials, prepare analysis reports, and support in post-search proceedings.
  • Liaise with authorities during enquiries and follow-up actions.

4. Client Management

  • Maintain regular communication with clients on deliverables.
  • Manage expectations, timelines, and compliance obligations.
  • Provide insights on tax planning and risk mitigation.

5. Team Support & Review (For Senior Consultant & AM)

  • Review work done by junior team members.
  • Guide team on technical areas and ensure quality control.
  • Assist in training and development of the tax team.

Experience Required

  • Consultant: 0–2 years post-qualification
  • Senior Consultant: 2–4+ years
  • Assistant Manager: 4–6+ years
  • Must have hands-on experience in:
  • Tax assessments
  • Litigation support
  • Search & seizure matters
  • Drafting submissions & representation

Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of Income Tax Act & related rules.
  • Excellent drafting, documentation, and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and representation abilities.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work in a 6-day environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and tax tools.
