We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our team at Vidyashilp School. The ideal candidate will be a B.Ed graduate with a strong understanding of Geography concepts and a commitment to providing quality education. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and guiding students to excel in Geography as part of the ICSE curriculum.




Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons for higher school students in line with the ICSE curriculum.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, ensuring coverage of all required topics and skills.
  • Assess student progress through assignments, projects, tests, and exams.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and interactive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Organize and facilitate extracurricular activities related to Geography (field trips, projects, etc.).
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in the field of Geography and teaching methodologies.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers to enhance the academic environment of the school.
  • Ensure a safe and respectful classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing ideas and asking questions.


Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) degree from a recognized institution (Mandatory).
  • A degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Previous experience in teaching Geography at the higher school level (ICSE curriculum) is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for Geography and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Patience, dedication, and a commitment to student success.
  • Ability to use various teaching methods and technology to enhance learning.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
