Position: Internal Communications, India region
Position Summary:
HCLTech is a global technology company with $13.5+ billion revenue and operations in 60 countries. The company is headquartered and listed in India, which also houses 170,000+ of the 220,000 people employs globally.
Role holder will be responsible for supporting IC leader in developing and implementing the internal/ employee communications strategy for HCLTech and elevating the employer brand in India. The role will help foster employee engagement and generate a sense of shared identity, align teams, and shape the culture.
The candidate will be a good content writer and reviewer with a strong ability to streamline, guide, and execute campaigns through email communications, intranet, and viva engage. The individual will be a strong advocate for leveraging multiple channels for landing communications campaigns.
Key Accountabilities:
Strategic & Implementation
- Content writing and communications.
- Strong written communication skills to write articles, stories for campaigns and review content.
- Review email communications and educate about other channels.
- Executive communications.
- Good understanding of leveraging sharepoint capabilities/intranet and viva engage for communications outreach.
- Anchor, manage, and advise on IC channels including email communication, intranet, viva engage, screensavers, digiscreens, townhalls, newsletter, in-person leader connects for an audience of over 2,00,000 employees.
- Ensure organizational initiatives and internal priorities are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders to cultivate a strong culture, bolster engagement, and foster employee connection to the organization’s mission, purpose, and values.
- Develop and organize an internal communications infrastructure, which includes evaluating existing internal communications mechanisms, establishing new communication channels, using multimedia, leveraging staff meetings, developing an internal editorial calendar, and ensuring processes and infrastructure are accessible and accommodating.
- Develop a strong metrics framework to measure success of channels and generate audience insights.
- Develop mechanisms for collecting suggestions and feedback from employees and responding and adjusting content accordingly while also understanding the key moments and messaging for internal communications.
- Advise senior executives of developments throughout the organization, either face-to-face or through regular written communication.
- Apply best practices to manage any internal communication response in a crisis that may affect the perception and reputation of HCLTech.
- Develop tools and vehicles to generate sources of data to inform internal and leadership communication and manage the company’s internal communication tools, ensuring they are up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with the company’s goals and values.
Measurement and impact
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and track metrics that help measure impact and efficacy of campaigns, internal launches, compliance, internal communications and employee engagement strategies, and organizational priorities.
- Develop and use a range of data sources to advise IC leader on the overall internal communication approach.
THE PERSON
Qualification:
- A master’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, or related field.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience developing strategic internal/ corporate communications programs in support of employee engagement, business priorities, culture, and a track record of delivering exceptional measurable results.
- Knowledge of core internal communications and employee engagement strategies including creating and executing change management communications strategies.
- An understanding of the technology required to deliver communications to staff using a wide variety of technologies and communications channels.
- Strong performance accountability and ability to follow through on commitments, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex projects, advising senior management and executives with strong attention to detail, a high level of responsiveness, and the ability to adapt and be flexible.
Skills:
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with experience of managing a suite of internal communications channels, including the intranet, mobile apps, internal social media channels, and other emerging communication and collaboration technologies.
- Excellent team management and collaboration skills
- Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels.
