Job Title: Technical Architect

Years of Experience: 14+ years

Location: Bangalore (Hybrid) (Office location: Exora Business Park, Kadubeesanahalli, Bengaluru)

Primary Skills: Java 8+, JEE, Microservice Architecture Event-Driven Architecture, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Spring Framework - Core, Spring boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Eclipse IDE / Spring Test Suite (STS) IDE, JUnit Framework.

Good to Have: Business Process Modelling (Flowable, Activiti, Camunda, JBPM etc), Business Rules Engine (Drools), Apache Kafka

Role Summary:

- Developing enterprise solutions deployed as a Spring Boot application adopting microservice & event-driven architecture.

- A Technical Architect at Azentio is at the helm of both innovation and technology leadership, and is one of the key persons responsible for developing next-generation enterprise-grade software applications of Azentio.

- As a Technical Architect you will be contributing to the technology strategy and vision to continuously improve our products and take our technology to the future.

- Technical Architect is expected to have a deep hands-on software engineering, algorithms, and design experience and to contribute to the code base on a daily basis.

As we embark on our future of building world-class products on Microservices and AI, we'd certainly love joining hands with highly energetic, technically opinionated, and experienced Cloud Native, DevOps, and Agile engineers with at least a decade's experience in Enterprise Software Engineering.

What will you do?

- Technical Leadership: Act as a technical leader within the development team, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to junior and mid-level engineers.

- Software Design and Architecture: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and architect complex software systems, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and meet business requirements.

- Backend Development: Develop and maintain high-quality Java Spring backend components, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and business logic.

- Data Processing: Implement data streaming and messaging solutions using Kafka to enable real-time data processing and communication between different components of the system.

- Cloud Integration (Nice to Have): Utilise AWS & Azure services to design, deploy, and maintain cloud- based solutions that enhance the scalability and reliability of our applications

- Caching Mechanisms: Utilise Redis or other caching mechanisms to optimize application performance by reducing database load and response times.

- Database Management: Design and optimize SQL databases, write efficient queries, and ensure data integrity and security.

- Performance Optimisation: Continuously monitor and improve the performance and scalability of the application, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

- Testing and Quality Assurance: Implement best practices for unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews to ensure the reliability and maintainability of the codebase.

- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, API documentation, and coding standards.

- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

What is expected from an individual?

- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.

- 12+ years of experience working in a software product development company (must)

- Expert in designing and architecting small to the large solution using appropriate design patterns.

- Strong design and coding experience in Core Java, Object Oriented programming, Spring Boot, SQL(RDBMS), NoSQL (Cassandra), Kafka, Spring, Elastic Search.

- Strong understanding of Agile methodology and leveraging SDLC tools to improve development and testing efficiency (Confluence Wiki, JIRA, BitBucket, Jenkins, GIT, JUnit, Selenium etc.).

- Experience in building secure, highly available, resilient, scalable distributed systems leveraging clustering and load balancing of web servers, app servers, and messaging systems.

- Experience in migrating monolithic legacy applications to microservices.

- Deep knowledge of microservices & event-driven architecture patterns

- Strong Knowledge of container-based development, orchestration, microservices frameworks and tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Jersey, Swagger)

- Experience in Cloud and Container-based development (Kubernetes) is a plus.

- Identifying short- and long- term solutions and timeline; reviewing and approving proposed solutions, implementing new architectural patterns; and performing design and code reviews of changes.

- Provides support to the business for new and existing systems by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility); researching and identifying needed solutions; determining implementation designs; providing guidance regarding implications of new and enhanced systems; and directing users to appropriate contacts for issues outside of own domain.

- Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

- Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognising and capitalising on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organisational changes, and new responsibilities.

- Utilise industry research to improve Azentio's technology environment by analyzing industry best practices; benchmarking industry against internal processes and solutions; researching or influencing future industry solutions for fit with internal needs; and defining software development guidelines, standards, and processes.
