Exceptional candidates will be placed on an accelerated leadership development track.Position: Field Robot Deployment EngineerWe are seeking a highly capable and technically proficient Field Robot Deployment Engineer to manage the operational readiness and deployment of our advanced autonomous systems across India. This critical role serves as the primary technical interface between our core engineering team and our deployed robotic fleet, ensuring peak performance and operational continuity in the field.Key Responsibilities and Operational MandateSystem Ownership & Deployment: Execute and oversee the end-to-end deployment, rigorous testing, and commissioning of robotic hardware and software systems at client sites and field locations.Operational Excellence: Maintain complete responsibility for daily operational schedules, including full-day mission runs. Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve complex hardware, software, and integration failures under pressure.Field Preparedness: Demonstrate high adaptability and resilience, operating effectively in challenging environmental conditions (e.g., elevated dust, high temperature/humidity, uneven terrain) while adhering to strict safety protocols.Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear, precise, and timely technical reports and field data back to the core Engineering, R&D, and Product teams. Serve as a professional technical liaison with customers and partners.Travel Requirement: Willingness to undertake extensive travel (2–3 weeks per month) across various locations in India is mandatory.Required Technical QualificationsCore Competencies (Non-Negotiable):Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree (B.Tech/M.Tech) in Robotics / Mechatronics / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering (EE) or Computer Science (CS).Robotics Implementation: Demonstrated strong, hands-on experience in the deployment, integration, and maintenance of real robotic or complex electromechanical systems in outdoor or industrial settings.Software Stack: Expert proficiency with Linux, including command-line operations and low-level debugging. Practical experience with ROS / ROS2 for system configuration and fault isolation.Sensor Troubleshooting: Competence in the integration and first-level diagnosis of standard robotic sensors, including Cameras, Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), GPS, and LiDAR.Analysis & Scripting: Proficiency in Python for rapid data analysis, log parsing, and the development of field-based diagnostic tools.Electronics: Foundational knowledge of basic electronics, including the ability to perform schematic interpretation and system-level troubleshooting.Highly Desirable Experience:Proven experience in the autonomous navigation of robots in unstructured or outdoor environments.Familiarity with localization techniques, particularly GPS-based localization and high-accuracy systems like RTK GPS.Experience in applying Machine Learning models for perception or autonomy tasks within a robotic context.Expertise in setting up and maintaining robust networking and data-connectivity in bandwidth-constrained field environments.Professional & Behavioural AttributesMindset: Exceptional sense of ownership and accountability for system performance and mission success.Communication: Fluent, clear, and professional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Hindi.
