The Role:We're looking for a proactive, visionary Senior Video Editor to be a core part of our creative team. This role is perfect for someone who takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can transform raw footage into compelling, polished learning experiences, brand campaigns, and marketing assets. You will be responsible for defining the look and feel of our video content, mentoring team members, and establishing efficient production workflows.What You’ll Do:Video Production & StorytellingEdit and produce high-impact video content for diverse platforms, including educational courses, social media campaigns, product launches, brand communications, and ad creatives.Elevate storytelling by expertly utilizing visuals, pacing, music/sound design, and effects while maintaining strict consistency with brand guidelines.Manage the full post-production lifecycle, including advanced color grading, motion graphics, sound design, visual effects (VFX), and final output.Optimize and customize video assets for specific distribution channels, including YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and paid advertising networks.Collaboration & StrategyAct as a proactive creative partner, collaborating closely with content creators, subject matter experts, marketers, designers, and producers to conceptualize video formats and narrative structures.Provide expert input during pre-production on storyboarding, scripting, and shot selection to ensure content is captured with post-production efficiency in mind.Experiment continuously with new editing styles, formats, and emerging video trends to keep our content fresh, engaging, and cutting-edge within the ed-tech space.Workflow:Maintain high technical standards across all projects, ensuring flawless exports, quick turnarounds, and adherence to all technical specifications.Establish and document best practices, efficient editing pipelines, and scalable post-production workflows to increase overall team productivity.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet aggressive production deadlines.Oversee asset management, ensuring file structures are organized, video assets are properly archived, and project handoffs are seamless.Coordinate with stakeholders across the organization to manage timelines, revisions, and secure final approvals for all video outputs.What You’ve Done5+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally within an ed-tech, digital media, or fast-paced agency environment.Developed expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro with a strong working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Audition, Photoshop).Demonstrated mastery of color grading, motion graphics, and audio mixing/sound design.Created a strong portfolio showcasing compelling, high-quality video work across various formats and distribution channels.Proven ability to translate written or verbal creative briefs into compelling visual narratives.You Are:A proactive storyteller who treats every edit as an opportunity to enhance the narrative.Technically fluent, with a high standard for quality, smooth exports, and quick turnarounds.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and excellent at managing multiple deadlines simultaneously.An effective communicator able to articulate creative choices to non-editors.What Success Looks Like:Success in this role will be measured by the efficiency of the post-production pipeline, the quality of the final output, and the overall performance of the video content.Workflow Efficiency: Reduce average video editing time by 15% within the first 6 months by establishing and implementing robust best practices and workflows.Content Quality & Engagement (Soft KPI): Editors' final cuts require fewer than 1 revision on average before stakeholder approval.Technical Excellence: Maintain a zero-error rate on final exports (i.e., no issues with resolution, aspect ratios, or audio mixing) across all platforms.Why Join Us:If you are ready to define the look and feel of high-impact educational video content and lead a crucial part of the creative pipeline, this is your opportunity.
