You will collaborate with industry experts, thought leaders, and talented colleagues from diverse backgrounds.What You Will Be Doing -Support Equity Research team of a global asset manager in carrying out research on a portfolio of companiesIn-depth understanding of the investment lifecycle, how research feeds into portfolio manager decisions, and the unique needs of buy-side clients (e.g., family office, hedge funds, pension funds, mutual funds).Build detailed financial models (historical and forecasts) including valuation using approaches such as DCF, DDM, Trading and transaction multiples, NAV, SOTP etc. Strong accounting skills and its impact on financial data reporting and knowledge of global financial regulations that affect investment research domainWrite initiation reports, earning notes, quarterly updates, coverage reports, sector reports, newsletters, event updates, theme-based reports, etc. Providing ongoing coverage on securities on which research has been initiated once Track news, events, and results of the companies under coverageTrack and monitor regulatory trends impacting the industryListen to and summarize investment conference calls including earnings call, capital markets day, investor day etc.Gather insights through investor, management, and expert connectsSector agnostic and have strong understanding of various asset classExceptional verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex investment theses and reports clearlyProblem solving in high-pressure situation such as resolving client conflicts, resource allocation, and complex research challengesLeading and developing teams of analysts and managers in dynamic market conditions, evolving client needs, and the adoption of new technologies (like GenAI in research)What We Are Looking For -Relevant 8+ years of equity research experience with master’s degree CA / MBA Finance; CFA added advantageExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong understanding of accounting concepts and valuation methodologiesExpertise in building financial models with forecastingGood financial writing skills (beyond factual reporting, such as company description)Proven ability to build client rapport and work in sync with onshore teamsAbility to work independentlyAbility to identify and solve issues effectively on time, eye for details Proactiveness and thought leadershipCritical thinkingKnowledge of database tools, including Bloomberg, Reuters, Refinitiv and other financial data systemsKnowledge of VBA, Excel Macros, GenAI tools will be an added advantageEducation and experience:MBA (Finance) /CA; CFA (US) would be an added advantage Experience: Minimum of 8 years of sell side / buy side equity research experience Please Note: We appreciate the accuracy and authenticity of the information you provide, as it plays a key role in your candidacy.
