Azure Data Engineer – Data Visualization Lead – Tableau (Mandate - Databricks)

Position: AM /DM (5 to 8 years’ experience)

As a Tableau Data Visualization Lead using, the position responsible for designing, developing, and

maintaining interactive dashboards and visual analytics solutions that drive business insights and

decision-making.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Understanding and Perform analysis off source systems data

2. Estimation and delivery of adhoc and new Tableau MIS

3. Design and develop advanced & visually compelling Tableau dashboards and visualizations

tailored to business needs in the Lending domain - Deliver in data visualization best practices,

Tableau BI functionalities, and data storytelling

4. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective

data visualizations.

5. Optimize Tableau workbooks for performance and scalability.

6. Integrate and process large datasets using Databricks (Spark-based platform) – 25 % 7.

Build and maintain data transformation notebooks in Databricks to support reporting and

analytic – 25 %

8. Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across all visualizations.

9. Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to deliver end-to-end BI

solutions.

10. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

11. Staying updated on industry trends, optimizing performance, and ensuring the usability and

scalability of Tableau solutions are key aspects of this role.

12. Proactive Monitoring, Data reconciliation, Testing, proper Documentation and troubleshooting

of MIS issues would be active parts of the role.

13. Ensure developments follow standard coding patterns, are fully documented for audit

submissions.

14. Ensuring compliance with data governance and data security/masking standards for data

delivery

Competencies for the job -

1) Proven experience with Advanced SQL and data transformation for Visualization purpose

2) Experience in SQL Query Development T-SQL or Spark SQL

3) 6 to 10 years of experience in data visualization and BI development.

4) Expert-level proficiency in Tableau: Calculated fields, parameters, LOD expressions, Dashboard

actions, etc.

5) 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in Databricks: notebooks, Delta Lake, Spark SQL, and

Python/Scala.

6) Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.

7) Experience in the Lending domain: understanding of loan lifecycle, credit risk, collections, and

regulatory reporting.

8) Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and performance tuning.

9) Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

10) Advance analytics data modelling / data visualization scenarios – Bucketing /Time Series/

Forecasting/Correlation/Time Intelligence functions/ What-If / Hierarchical data handling /

Cumulative Total / Related Distinct Count / Statistical Patterns/ Parameter Tables/ Static

Segmentation/Dynamic Segmentation/ABC Classification/Handling Different

Granularities/Budget Patterns/Basket Analysis/New and Returning Customers/Parent-Child

Hierarchies

11) Hands-on experience Tableau Cloud features -

a. Tableau Architecture

b. Data visualization Charts and best practices using Tableau

12) Experience to embedding MIS into Web Apps

Desired Experience:

1) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

2) Tableau certification is a plus.

3) Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is desirable.

4) Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.

5) 5+ of hands-on experience in Tableau Data Visualization, Data Modelling.

6) Excellent communication skills in written and verbal English

7) Knowledge of core functions of a large NBFC/Bank – Sales, Credit, Collections, Finance and Accounts
