IT Software Quality Engineering Lead – Automation & Regression Testing


Location: Bangalore, India (Onsite)

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced IT Software Quality Engineering Lead to drive Regression Testing for GCS, automation initiatives, and end-to-end QA delivery across multiple programs. This role requires strong technical depth, leadership maturity, and proven experience guiding QA teams within Agile environments. The ideal candidate brings robust hands-on expertise in Selenium, Python/C#, BDD frameworks, and automation best practices, combined with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and shape long-term QA roadmaps.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end testing delivery across a portfolio, ensuring high-quality outcomes for all programs.
  • Manage a QA team of 10–12 members, including performance goals, appraisals, and career development plans.
  • Oversee regression testing for GCS and drive automation across medium to large-scale initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Architects and Scrum teams to clarify requirements and ensure testability and automation readiness.
  • Provide functional and technical feedback on design during development cycles.
  • Implement Selenium Grid and advance automation frameworks aligned with CI/CD practices.
  • Drive innovation with new QA tools, accelerators, methodologies, and automation processes.
  • Develop proofs-of-concept for QA automation to support continuous improvement.
  • Define the roadmap for QA capability in collaboration with Portfolio and IT Managers.
  • Document and promote QA best practices; mentor junior team members.
  • Engage frequently with senior business leaders and operate independently with minimal supervision.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience as a QA Lead driving end-to-end testing deliverables.
  • Strong experience in Agile testing and test automation.
  • Hands-on expertise with:
  • Selenium (Python or C#)
  • BDD frameworks (SpecFlow)
  • API Automation
  • Selenium Grid implementation
  • Ability to apply appropriate test measurements and metrics effectively.
  • Proven capability leading medium to large QA programs.

  • Demonstrated leadership, influence, and ability to drive organizational change.
  • Strong stakeholder management, especially with UK/US time zones.
  • Vision for long-term capability building and QA roadmap execution.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
