Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. IT Security Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT security, with the ability to work independently, demonstrate proactive and adaptable behavior, and take ownership of tasks to ensure their successful completion.

Key Responsibilities :

Security Operations and Monitoring :

- Oversee and manage daily security operations, including monitoring, incident response, and threat analysis.

- Implement and maintain security measures to protect IT infrastructure, including firewalls, anti-virus systems, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

Risk Management and Assessment :

- Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability assessments.

- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols.

- Identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation strategies.

Incident Response and Management :

- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.

- Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of incidents.

Compliance and Governance :

- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, NIST).

- Prepare and maintain documentation for audits and assessments.

Security Awareness and Training :

- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees.

- Promote a culture of security awareness across the organization.

Project Management :

- Lead and manage security projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.


- Collaborate with other IT teams and business units to integrate security requirements into projects and initiatives.

Technical Expertise and Advisory :

- Provide expert advice and guidance on IT security matters to senior management and other stakeholders.

- Stay updated with the latest security trends, technologies, and threats, and recommend improvements to the organization's security posture.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

- A master's degree is a plus.

- Experience : 7-10 years of experience in IT security or a related field.

- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar are highly desirable.

Technical Skills :

- Proficient in security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection, and encryption.

- Strong understanding of network protocols, security architecture, and secure coding practices.

- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.

Analytical Skills :


- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to systematically approach and resolve complex security issues.


Project Management :


- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Communication Skills :

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to clearly articulate security concepts and requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Interpersonal Skills :


- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
