Software Engineering Lead Analyst (Services)
Position Overview

Software Engineering Lead Analyst plays key role in developing and maintaining business critical applications in Enterprise Gateway Services. Closely works with senior team members and other stakeholders in maintaining and enhancing existing assets as well as developing new assets. Team player who works with several internal and external teams as part of delivery process. Assists in research and fact-finding, in implementation and maintenance of micro services. Competent to work on most phases of applications programming activities but requires instruction and guidance in software delivery phases. Helps team members with ancillary tasks like documentation, QE and code deployments.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement micro services (application, data & orchestration) for Enterprise Gateway Services group on various initiatives.
  • Develop, code, and unit test with variety of on-prem & cloud services using Java full stack, Python, Spring Boot and Quarkus and testing automation pipeline.
  • Convert technical specifications provided by leads into working code.
  • Debug and unit test services using multiple tools and techniques.
  • Manage the Pipeline using Jenkins, GitHub to move the application to higher environments such as System Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Release Testing, and Users Training environments.
  • Contribute to production support to resolve application production issues.
  • Manage the application demos to business users and Product Owners regularly in Sprint and PI demos.
  • Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning and user stories grooming with Scrum masters, developers, QA Analysts, and product owners.
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings to provide daily work status updates to the Scrum master and product owner, following Agile Methodology.
  • Write and maintain application technical and design documents.
  • Participate in peer code reviews.

Required Experience:

5+ Years of total software development experience with following MUST have skills:

  • 5+ years of experience with Javafull stack development.
  • 3+ years of developing and deploying applications on OpenShift / any other open source / Cloud preferably AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • 3+ years of Experience with various frameworks (Spring Boot and / or Quarkus).
  • 1+ years of experience working with Jenkins pipelines / Helm charts.
  • 1+ years of experience working with Git runner and Git templates.
  • 2+ years of experience working with code scanning tools such as SonarQube and CheckMarx.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Open-source technologies.
  • Good understanding DevOps processes and tools like GitLab and GitHub.
  • Experience with Containerization: Dockers and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with developing Micro and Application Services.
  • Good understanding of APIs.
  • Understanding of various security patterns and implementing solutions with external partners.
  • Knowledge of Databases: Oracle, MongoDB.
  • Version Control techniques and Version Control Systems.
  • Experience with Logging, Error Handling and Dashboards (Dynatrace, Splunk etc.)
  • Experience with Production Support Policies and Procedures is a plus
  • Analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent Communication Skills

Good to Have:

  • Experience working with Istio, OpenShift or Kong Service Mesh.
  • Certification in Java.
  • AWS development experience and related certification.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Gateways and related functionality.
  • Understanding of EDI.
