The firm advises a diverse set of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, global investment funds, major Indian conglomerates, domestic and international banks, technology and media giants, family offices, and high-net-worth individualsRole Overview:We are seeking to onboard Indirect Tax professionals with around 1 year of experience in client advisory and litigation. The key responsibilities for this role include:Key Responsibilities:Demonstrating strong analytical skills, including the ability to conduct research using legal databases.Possessing knowledge of case laws within the relevant legal framework, staying informed about regulatory updates, and understanding their impact on assigned clients.Having proficiency in English and excellent drafting skills.Creating and disseminating updates on the latest trends to the team.Conducting quick research to develop a theoretical understanding of laws and acts.Required Skillset:Advising clients on various aspects of GST (must) and Customs, State Excise, SEZ laws (preferred).Handling litigation and investigation assignments, including drafting replies, appeals, and briefing counsels and senior counsels.Behavioral Competencies:Learning Agility: Demonstrates a willingness to acquire knowledge of the latest trends in the indirect tax space.Client Centricity: Prioritizes meeting clients' expectations by balancing quality and timeliness.Teamwork and Collaboration: Displays ownership and accountability for team goals, performing assigned tasks as per stated standards.Process Orientation: Follows applicable work processes/procedures to deliver outcomes.Personal Effectiveness: Plans own work, identifies resources, and manages timelines effectively.Drafting and Presentation Skills: Creates client presentations using various communication delivery methods (e.g., written, electronic, oral, interpersonal).We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
