Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HIL testing methodologies, particularly within the Powertrain domain. Proficiency in Python scripting is preferred, along with a solid understanding of the Automotive domain and expertise in C language. As an HIL Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our automotive systems through rigorous testing procedures.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute HIL test plans and test cases to validate automotive control systems, focusing primarily on Powertrain components.
  • Configure and maintain HIL test benches and related hardware, ensuring optimal functionality and accuracy throughout testing processes.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, hardware engineers, and quality assurance personnel to identify test requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Design and implement automated test scripts using Python to streamline testing procedures and improve efficiency.
  • Analyze test results and debug issues to identify root causes and propose effective solutions, working closely with development teams to implement necessary fixes.
  • Continuously optimize HIL testing processes and methodologies to enhance overall testing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in HIL testing technologies, incorporating relevant innovations into our testing practices.
  • Document test procedures, results, and findings thoroughly, maintaining clear and organized records for reference and future analysis.
  • Participate in peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of test artifacts and processes.
Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in HIL testing within the Automotive domain, with a focus on Powertrain systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Python scripting; experience with C language is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with HIL testing tools such as dSPACE, National Instruments (NI), or similar platforms.
  • Solid understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and FlexRay.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Experience with SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) and MIL (Model-in-the-Loop) testing is a plus.
