Job Responsibilities :

- Minimum 3-5 Years of experience in given Database Administration

- DBA will support databases to include application performance tuning, database monitoring, writing stored procedures, and deploying the build scripts.

- The candidate will assist in analysis of informational needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, database design, proposed manipulation, data flow and storage requirements and data output and reporting capabilities in regard to multiple applications with objective of optimizing performance

Primary Responsibilities Database Performance related Activities :

- Reduce false alarms to a minimum by configuring database monitoring utilities

- Improve performance with the most effective solution, such as Infrastructure Changes, server configuration changes, or index/query changes

- Give advice on database design, tuning options, and other possible issues

- Establish the baseline for system performance, recognize deviation, and suggest and implement improvements to slow running queries

- Ensure the design and execution of database server topology, configuration, and maintenance meet SLA objectives

- Reliability Engineering experience to sense the database issues proactively to avoid major problems and to achieve High Application Availability.

- SQL Code Optimization (using tools such as Explain Plan, TKProf etc) and recommend application developers to write and tweak/optimize SQLs

- Experience in Database profiling and Drive towards Enhanced databases.

- Data modeling to visualize database structure

- Standard Data management Activities :

- Creation and maintenance of schema objects: tables, indexes, views, sequences, Stored Procedures, Functions etc.

- Copying data between tables, Load small to medium sets of data into the DB

- QA and QC of data

- Customer DML (Data Manipulation Language)

- AWR, ADDM and ASH reports for troubleshooting issues.

- Able to work on/with Application and use the RDBMS

- Experience in performing Backup, Recovery and Restore & Cloning for Test environments

- Creating database triggers for automation and Data Migration experience preferred

- Develop, design, test and implement complex database programs using Oracle and third-party tools.

- Providing technical assistance, problem resolution and troubleshooting support.
