Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and Concept Development:Research and analyze fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market needs to inform design decisions.Create original sketches, illustrations, and mood boards for new clothing collections.Develop and present seasonal design concepts to stakeholders.Material and production oversight:Select and source appropriate fabrics, trims, and other materials for production.Collaborate with pattern makers, technicians, and manufacturers to create patterns and ensure accurate garment construction.Oversee the creation of samples and prototypes, providing feedback for quality and fit.Cross-functional collaboration:Work closely with merchandising, production, and marketing teams to ensure a cohesive product launch.Communicate design rationale and ensure designs align with brand identity and business goals.Quality control:Conduct fittings and assess garments for design, style, and fit.Provide constructive feedback to production teams to ensure high-quality execution. Skills and qualificationsProven Min 5+ Years of experience in a similar role or a strong portfolio of work.Proficiency with design software like Adobe Illustrator.Strong sketching and illustration skills.Excellent knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and production processes.Strong research and analytical skills to stay on top of trends.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.A bachelor's degree in design or a related field is often preferred.
