Position: Assistant Professor / Faculty – Economics

Qualification Required: MA in Economics

1. Role Summary

The Economics Faculty will be responsible for teaching foundational and advanced courses in Economics to PGDM students. The role includes delivering high-quality lectures, preparing academic materials, evaluating student performance, and contributing to curriculum and institutional development.


2. Key Responsibilities


Teaching & Academic Delivery

· Teach subjects such as Managerial Economics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Indian Economy, Business Environment, and related areas.

· Prepare lesson plans, PPTs, reading materials, and case-based learning modules.

· Use interactive and innovative teaching methodologies for effective student engagement.

· Conduct classroom lectures, tutorials, remedial classes, and discussion sessions.


Assessment & Evaluation

· Design question papers, assignments, quizzes, and internal assessments.

· Evaluate answer sheets and maintain transparent grading standards.

· Provide constructive feedback to students to support academic improvement.


Student Mentoring & Support

· Guide students on academic projects, research assignments, and presentations.

· Support students in understanding economic concepts, analytical skills, and practical applications.


Academic & Institutional Responsibilities

· Participate in academic reviews, department meetings, and syllabus planning.

· Contribute to institutional activities like admissions, events, and seminars.

· Assist in documentation for AICTE, NBA, and academic audits, if required.


Curriculum Development

· Suggest improvements and updates to Economics curriculum based on industry trends and academic standards.

· Develop new modules or value-added sessions in applied economics.


3. Required Qualifications & Experience

· MA in Economics from a recognized university (mandatory).

· Prior teaching experience preferred but not compulsory.

· Strong conceptual understanding of micro, macro, and applied economics.

· Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.

· Ability to simplify complex economic concepts for student understanding.

· Strong classroom engagement skills.

· Analytical reasoning and data interpretation ability.
