Job Description :

We are seeking a talented and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in developing innovative software solutions. As the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in driving the technical direction, execution, and success of our projects while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the team.

Responsibilities :

1. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coach a team of software engineers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to help them achieve their full potential. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages creativity, accountability, and continuous learning.

2. Technical Leadership: Define and drive the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for our products or projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA. Ensure alignment with business goals, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.

3. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints. Manage project priorities, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies to optimize team productivity and project outcomes.

4. Code Quality and Architecture: Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and software development methodologies to maintain high code quality, scalability, and maintainability. Drive architectural decisions and technical debt management to support long-term product sustainability and evolution.

5. Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration within the engineering team and across functional teams to facilitate cross-functional alignment, knowledge sharing, and problem-solving. Act as a liaison between engineering and other stakeholders to ensure clear expectations and successful project outcomes.

6. Performance Management: Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and recognize and reward high performance and contributions. Address performance issues and provide support and resources for skill development and career growth opportunities.

7. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization within the engineering team and implement solutions to streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and enhance team productivity. Lead initiatives to adopt new tools, technologies, and methodologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements :

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

2. 5+ years of experience in software engineering or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management position.

3. Strong technical background and expertise in software development methodologies, languages, and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, Agile).

4. Proven track record of successfully leading and managing engineering teams to deliver high-quality software products or projects on time and within budget.

5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members and foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

6. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals and requirements into actionable technical strategies and plans.

7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.

8. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably in the technology or startup sector.
