What you will be doing :

- Write and execute manual test cases to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications.

- Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking tools, and work closely with developers to resolve them.

- Conduct regression and release testing to ensure that previously implemented features continue to function correctly after new changes are introduced.

- Collaborate with the product development team and provide input on design and implementation decisions from a quality perspective.

- Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.

- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.

What we need to see :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 1-3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies and practices.

- Experience in creating and executing manual test cases for web-based application and command line interface applications.

- Familiarity with bug reporting tools such as Gitlab, Jira etc.

- Solid understanding of bug lifecycle and its methodologies.

- Ability to identify positive, negative and edge case scenarios.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

- Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd


- Experience with Linux/Unix, Gitlab, Git, Docker and Containerisation.

- Manual testing experience of enterprise applications. (ref:hirist.tech)
