MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

  • Input and verification of Standard Settlement Instructions for FX, Money Market, Commercial

  • Action and management of swift MT and MX messages.

  • Action and completion of RMA and Bank Code requests, to facilitate bank processing and Front
  • Office/Branch requirements.
  • Ensuring that tasks are completed, all checklists are adhered to and any issues are escalated where appropriate.
  • Participate in effective cross training for other members of staff.
  • Conduct UAT and testing when called upon.
  • Escalate in a timely manner. Attend meetings when required, and provide feedback on discussions.
  • Build relationships throughout MUFG to establish a peer network, gather relevant information and help to ensure effective interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Operate as product specialist providing subject matter expertise where required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To ensure completion of expected processing by Control Data Management, with accuracy,
  • compliance to procedures and regulations, and within expected time frames.
  • Ensure the completion of Audit Confirmation Balances, within agreed time frames with no errors.
  • Authentication and execution of Non-standard form SSIs, and all associated controls and checks across various bank platforms and products.
  • Perform circulation of CIF and Account Closure Checklists prior to processing.
  • Participate in completion of processes for Nostro agent changes.
  • Manage and maintain records for RMA and Bank Code requests.
  • Acceptance and accurate execution of swift messages on MT and MX.
  • Complete actions as required on the Daily, Weekly and Monthly Checklists.
  • Maintain accurate records in department EUCs, and ensure they are utilized correctly.
  • Be a representative for Control Data Management at various meetings, and use knowledge and
  • skills to ensure accurate and informative responses, giving guidance of appropriate approaches to new projects and tasks.

Due to EMEA coverage, potential requirements for working are:

  • Boxing Day on Rotation
  • Xmas Day on Rotation
  • Bank Holidays on Rotation
  • No Annual Leave more than 1 day in these periods, and possibly work weekends in these periods, due to
  • volumes on Audits:
  • January 1st two weeks
  • April 1st two weeks

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

  • Significant back office banking experience (at least 3 years).
  • Practical experience within an audit balance confirmation environment.
  • Practical experience of static maintenance of system information; such as
  • currency holiday registrations,
  • Standard Settlement instructions for products: Treasury, Remittances and Loans
  • and other static registrations.
  • Experience of working in a fast moving environment under time pressure whilst retaining strong
  • attention to detail.

  • The role holder will be assessed in accordance with their employing entitys performance framework and
  • process with relevant input obtained from the dual hatting entity as relevant.

MANAGING CONFLICTS OF INTEREST:

  • The role holder will have responsibilities for both MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc.
  • The role holder will be required to perform their duties and responsibilities on an entity neutral basis, without favor.
  • The role holder is required to follow regulatory requirements applicable to ensure each business is appropriately supported and to maintain the legal entity integrity of each of MUFG Bank and MUS.
  • Working terms are dictated by functional mandates, the terms of the Dual-Hat Arrangement Agreement in place between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc and any other relevant agreements entered into between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc.
  • The role holder will have responsibility for identifying and resolving where there may be a difference or conflict in needs between MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc, escalating to their manager where required.
