We are looking for a Network Infrastructure Manager to oversee our client’s network operations — ensuring setup, maintenance, reliability, and performance optimization to support high-speed trading activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage the firm’s network infrastructure to deliver high availability, low latency, and strong security.
  • Collaborate with trading, systems, and development teams to meet the stringent demands of algorithmic trading and maintain seamless exchange connectivity.
  • Design and deploy network infrastructure in colocation environments for low-latency exchange connections.
  • Architect and maintain inter- and intra–data center network infrastructure.
  • Develop scalable and resilient network architectures to support business growth.
  • Optimize network performance across LAN, WAN, and data center environments.
  • Oversee daily network operations to ensure 24/7 availability and minimal downtime.
  • Manage network hardware, including switches, routers, and firewalls, across multiple data centers.
  • Lead incident response for network issues, performing root-cause analysis and implementing preventive solutions.
  • Build and maintain real-time monitoring and performance analysis tools.
  • Fine-tune configurations to minimize packet loss, latency, and jitter, and maximize throughput.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement new technologies to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Ensure network security through firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Partner with compliance teams to maintain regulatory adherence.
  • Implement best practices to secure sensitive trading data and infrastructure.
  • Work closely with trading, development, and systems teams to align network design with trading strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for network architecture, configurations, and incident resolutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
  • Experience with colocation data centers and exchange connectivity.
  • Proven background in low-latency network infrastructure, ideally within the financial industry.
  • Deep understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, Multicast).
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Arista, and Juniper network equipment.
  • Proficiency with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios).
  • Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid architectures (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Python scripting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring a network operations team.
