Reporting to – Head of Data Solutions.

Reportees – Direct

Location - Remote


Role Overview:

We are hiring a Lead – APAC Data Solutions to head the regional Data Solutions Analyst function. You will lead a high-performing APAC team, collaborate with data engineering and global (US/UK) stakeholders, and own the standardization of semantic models, unified data definitions, Power BI solutions, metadata/lineage, and GenAI use cases across markets.


Job Responsibility:

  • Build and scale a regional Data Solutions Analyst team (hiring, coaching, performance & career development).
  • Design & govern unified data models and semantic layers for General Insurance (claims, underwriting, actuarial, product, distribution, finance) aligned to global standards.
  • Deliver Power BI enterprise semantic solutions (certified datasets, reusable data products, governed self-service).
  • Operate & optimize Power BI platform - governance, Premium capacity, XMLA, ALM/Deployment Pipelines, tuning & workspace standards.
  • Partner with Snowflake / Redshift / Informatica teams for scalable and auditable data pipelines
  • Lead GenAI strategy for insurance analytics - RAG/embeddings, LLM prototypes, responsible AI and compliance.
  • Implement & operate data catalog + lineage platforms (Purview / Collibra / Alation / Informatica EDC).
  • Drive cross-market program delivery and ensure strong executive reporting & stakeholder alignment.


People Leadership

  • Balance central APAC standards vs. market-specific needs
  • Set & manage OKRs/KPIs (adoption, dataset certification, lineage coverage, SLA compliance, GenAI outcomes)
  • Lead workforce planning and vendor management across the region


Required Experience:

  • 8–12+ years in Data Solutions / BI / Analytics / Data Product roles, with people management
  • Expert in Power BI platform administration
  • Hands-on with Snowflake/AWS Redshift + Informatica or similar ETL/ELT
  • Deep experience designing semantic layers & unified models for insurance analytics
  • Experience delivering GenAI use cases (RAG, embeddings, LLM prototypes)
  • Proven implementation of data catalog + lineage platforms
  • Strong senior stakeholder & program management across APAC + international collaboration


Preferred qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Business Analytics or related; Master’s preferred.
  • Insurance analytics expertise (reserving, pricing, regulatory reporting)
  • Certifications: Power BI, Snowflake, AWS, Informatica,
  • Purview/Collibra/Alation or program management (PMP/Prince2/Agile).
  • Experience delivering GenAI use cases (RAG, embeddings, LLM prototypes)
  • CI/CD for BI & responsible AI experience
  • Willingness to travel across APAC and engage with US/UK time zones
