india, IN PackIntelX Full time

Company Description

PackIntelX is building the world’s most intuitive digital platform to help companies navigate EU Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), Recyclability criteria, Recycled Content requirements, and Packaging Conformity rules.

We translate complex legislation into clear, actionable intelligence — bridging the gap between regulatory expectations and real-world packaging operations. Our mission: empower brands, manufacturers, and recyclers to stay compliant, future-proof, and circular.

Role Description

We are seeking a Regulatory & Packaging Compliance Specialist with hands-on experience from the brand-owner or packaging producer side.

This is a full-time remote role. You will work closely with our product, data, and content teams to translate EU packaging regulations into practical guidance, structured datasets, and compliance methodologies.

Your work will help shape how global companies understand their responsibilities under PPWR and related standards — and contribute directly to a smarter, more transparent future for packaging.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyse EU and national packaging legislation, including PPWR, EPR obligations, recyclability standards, recycled content rules, and CE-relevant directives.
  • Translate regulatory requirements and EU harmonised standards into practical workflows, compliance logic, and data structures for the platform.
  • Evaluate packaging formats and supply chain details to classify roles (manufacturer/importer/distributor) and map responsibilities.
  • Review CE conformity or similar product-level documentation to understand how brands verify compliance with EU standards.
  • Support development of compliance questionnaires, decision trees, and user-facing regulatory explanations.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in brands, FMCG companies, packaging producers, sustainability, or compliance roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Packaging Technology, Public Policy, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with Conformity, EU harmonised standards, or technical documentation linked to product/packaging compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of EU packaging regulations, EPR systems, and circular economy policies.
  • Practical understanding of how brands manage packaging specifications and coordinate compliance with suppliers and converters.
  • Ability to interpret legislation and transform it into operational rules or structured decision logic.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
