Job Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a pivotal role in our organization by managing the full lifecycle of talent acquisition, which includes attracting, sourcing, screening, recruiting, and onboarding top-tier candidates. The TA Specialist has an on-site presence to effectively engage with candidates and collaborate with team members.

This role involves employing innovative and strategic recruitment methods to identify and secure exceptional talent. Additionally, the Specialist is dedicated to delivering a superior candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, ensuring that every interaction reflects the high standards and values of our organization.


Responsibilities:

Recruitment:

  • Managing the Full Life Cycle of Internal Recruitment: Overseeing every aspect of the internal recruitment process, from identifying staffing needs to extending final offers of employment.
  • Implementing End-to-End Hiring Processes: Executing comprehensive hiring procedures that ensure a positive and seamless experience for candidates throughout their journey.
  • Handling Day-to-Day Recruitment Operations: Managing the daily activities involved in the recruitment process, from initial planning and strategy development through to the finalization of job offers.
  • Requisition Creation and Management: Administering the entire requisition process, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, and conducting interviews to select the most qualified candidates.
  • Implementing Recruitment Best Practices: Applying industry best practices to attract top talent, ensuring that recruitment methods are effective, up-to-date, and aligned with current industry trends.

Management of Processes and Procedures relating to Recruitment:

  • Executing Attraction Strategies: Implementing recruitment strategies that align with organizational policies to effectively attract top talent
  • Creating a Talent Pipeline: Developing and maintaining a robust talent pipeline and pool to support an efficient recruitment process across the organization
  • Prioritizing Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluating and refining recruitment practices to drive ongoing improvements in the hiring process
  • Monitoring Recruit Quality: Assessing the quality of recruits and potential candidates to ensure they meet the organization’s standards and requirements
  • Conducting Daily Scrums: Participating in daily meetings with the team and manager to stay updated on all current and upcoming roles within the organization
  • Managing Recruitment Pipeline: Ensuring there is a sufficient candidate pipeline for all positions to meet established time-to-fill targets
  • Overseeing Talent Acquisition Systems: Managing the Talent Acquisition system, ensuring data integrity, and maintaining compliance with POPI/GDPR regulations
  • Conducting Market Research: Performing market research and mapping recruitment trends to ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices
  • Updating ATS and CRM Systems: Accurately updating Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems related to all roles, ensuring adherence to Talent Acquisition policies and maintaining compliance.

Reporting:

  • Staying Informed on Trends and Developments: Continuously monitoring and reporting on trends and developments in the recruitment field to enhance and optimize the Talent Acquisition process.
  • Identifying and Addressing Risks: Recognizing potential risks and problems within the recruitment process and making recommendations to improve processes and procedures
  • Communicating Insights to Stakeholders: Sharing relevant insights and recommendations with stakeholders, based on industry standards, to inform and guide decision-making
  • Monthly Reporting: Providing detailed monthly reports on recruitment statistics, trends, and best practices to ensure the organization remains agile and competitive within the industry
  • Capturing Recruitment Data Accurately: Ensuring that all information related to recruitment is accurately recorded in reports to maintain data integrity and support informed decision-making
  • Daily Reporting on Metrics: Reporting daily on key recruitment metrics to track performance and make timely adjustments to recruitment strategies

Stakeholder management:

  • Building and Maintaining Relationships: Actively developing, nurturing, and expanding strong relationships with relevant stakeholders, both internal and external, to support recruitment efforts
  • Serving as a Subject Matter Expert: Acting as a knowledgeable resource for key stakeholders to identify and implement innovative recruitment strategies
  • Managing Client Expectations: Overseeing client expectations and ensuring effective communication and information flow between all parties involved
  • Handling Supplier and Service Provider Relationships: Managing all aspects of relationships with suppliers and service providers, including oversight of their performance and alignment with organizational needs
  • Ensuring Accurate Information: Coordinating with service providers to ensure that all provided information is current and relevant
  • Resolving Queries: Addressing and resolving queries from stakeholders and service providers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Conducting Regular Meetings: Meeting with stakeholders regularly to discuss workforce planning and ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Participating in Daily Scrums: Attending daily scrum meetings with the manager and team to stay updated on recruitment activities and ensure alignment with overall objectives
  • Collaborating with HR and Operations: Working closely with the recruitment team as well as HR and Operations counterparts to achieve recruitment goals and deliverables


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma: A high school diploma is required; a business-related qualification is advantageous
  • Sourcing and Research Skills: Strong abilities in sourcing and researching to attract talent for scarce and specialist roles
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in sourcing (whether in an agency or corporate setting) and a minimum of 2 years as a high-volume or specialist recruiter
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with candidates and stakeholders
  • Computer Proficiency: Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • ATS Proficiency: Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to manage recruitment processes
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and meticulous follow-through to ensure accuracy and completeness in all tasks
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and resourceful with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Work Ethic: Demonstrated strong work ethic, accountability, and a sense of ownership in all responsibilities
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to achieve shared goals and enhance the recruitment process.
