Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Boomi Integration Developer to design, develop, and support integrations on the Dell Boomi AtomSphere platform. The ideal candidate will build integration processes, configure connectors, and troubleshoot data flows to ensure smooth system interoperability. This role requires a strong understanding of integration concepts, Boomi platform components (Integrations, EDI, API Management), and cloud architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and support integration processes using the Boomi AtomSphere platform.
  • Develop and configure integrations using Boomi’s connectors (e.g., REST, SOAP, databases, ERP, CRM systems).
  • Ensure integration components follow best development practices, standard naming conventions, and deployment standards.
  • Conduct self-reviews of developed components, adhering to the standard code review checklist.
  • Ensure all code components and corresponding documentation are reviewed and approved by the CoE Team before deployment.
  • Maintain ownership of assigned tasks in Boomi project space, providing daily status updates and addressing any dependencies.
  • Translate business requirements into technical integration designs during requirements gathering sessions.
  • Build integration components, including maps, processes, profiles, and connectors.
  • Conduct unit testing, ensure integration quality, and perform ongoing optimizations for performance and scalability.
  • Provide detailed documentation for integration processes, components, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Stay up to date with Boomi platform updates, new features, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with senior developers for guidance and design updates and participate in team discussions and status calls.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or a related field required.
  • 5–7 years of experience in integration development, with at least 5 years using Boomi AtomSphere.

  • Boomi EDI Essentials
  • Boomi Integration Administrator
  • Proficient with web services (REST, SOAP), APIs, XML, and JSON.
  • Familiarity with integration patterns (e.g., request-reply, publish-subscribe, message queuing).
  • Strong understanding of data mapping, transformation, and integration standards.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud technologies and databases (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java or Groovy scripting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of API security practices and authentication/authorization methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Skilled in using API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) and understanding methodologies like unit, integration, and contract testing.
