About the Opportunity

The Ministry of Health, Republic of Seychelles, is inviting highly qualified Specialist Doctors (Consultant Level) and Senior Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) from India for a 2-year government deputation program, aimed at strengthening national healthcare delivery.

Salary & Remuneration (Official Government Scales)

For Specialist Doctors (Consultant Level)

Medical Consultant – Expatriate

  • Basic Salary: SCR 46,723 (≈ USD 3,178.44)
  • Expatriate Allowance: SCR 11,500 (≈ USD 782.31)
  • Total Monthly Salary: SCR 58,223 (≈ USD 3,960.75)
  • Shift & on-call allowances payable separately


Senior Medical Consultant – Expatriate

  • Basic Salary: SCR 57,677 (≈ USD 3,923.61)
  • Expatriate Allowance: SCR 11,500 (≈ USD 782.31)
  • Total Monthly Salary: SCR 69,177 (≈ USD 4,705.92)
  • Shift & on-call allowances payable separately


For Senior EMTs

  • SCR 16,916 to 17,502 monthly (USD 1,150 to 1,190) depending on qualification
  • Shift & on-call allowances payable separately

Housing & Utilities

  • Fully furnished accommodation provided by the Ministry
  • Water & electricity included at no cost to the candidate

Medical & Dental Coverage

  • Comprehensive local medical and dental coverage
  • Access to government facilities & referral care (when necessary)

Travel Benefits

The Ministry of Health provides:

  • Airfare from India to Seychelles (including excess baggage)
  • Return airfare after 2-year completion
  • Annual home leave airfare after 12 months of continuous service

Contract & Leave

  • 2-year deputation, renewable
  • 3 months’ notice required by either party or 2 months’ salary in lieu
  • Annual leave and employment benefits equivalent to MOH staff
  • Working hours, shifts, and on-call duties as per MOH policy

Eligibility Criteria

  • MBBS + MD/MS/DNB (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5–10 years experience depending on the specialty
  • Valid National Medical Council (India) or State Council registration
  • Good Standing Certificate (within 6 months)
  • Strong English proficiency
