FINISHING ENGINEER | MANAGER

We currently have 8 projects with around 4500 custom designed, furnished homes as well as commercial and institutional buildings, covering a total saleable area of approximately 14 million square feet under construction at Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad.

The Finishing Engineer | Manager will execute the works at site as per the work schedule, ensuring the highest quality standards, and timely project completion, while also prioritizing safety and efficiency.

Areas of Accountability:

Quality Assurance and Control:

• Ensure all works are executed as per our TE quality standards.
• Ensure that works are done right at the first time and avoid reworks.
• Conduct regular inspections and tests to identify and address any quality issues promptly.

Project Planning and Scheduling:

• Proactively raise a request to Finishing Head for material and labour requirements.
• Complete the works on time and ensure necessary actions are taken to mitigate the delay, if any.
• Ensure required resources are planned well in advance.

Work Execution, Team & Stakeholders Management

• Execute the finishing works by supervising the labour.
• Provide clear instructions and guidance to the workforce.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and quality among the team.
• Partner with other project stakeholders (i.e., Capability Lines, subcontractors etc.) to ensure effective completion of the finishing works.
• Ensure there is minimum wastage of materials.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Raise RFI’s and maintain accurate records of all finishing-related checklists, including inspections, tests, and changes.
• Report progress with reporting managers and necessary with Site PMO.

Safety and Compliance:

• Enforce safety processes/protocols to ensure that all finishing works are executed in compliance with TE safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns promptly.

Deliverable:

• Ensure that all finishing works are executed as per the TE quality standards, in a safe, efficient, and effective manner within the defined completion timelines.

Accountability

• Ensure that health, safety and sustainability policies and legislations are adhered to.
• Value engineering
• Adherence to Quality, time and cost of delivery
• Design and Construction Management for project level deliverables
• Review all drawings for quantity takeoff and information management
• Co-ordination with stakeholders for Quality, EHS ID, MEP, Facility Management, Architecture, Structure
• Manage | responsible for team’s productivity, safety, attire as required by site, etiquette
• Supervise contracted staff
• Adhere to quality, quantity, timeline for the project
• Coordinate for any change management
• Follow and execute approved method of work
• Prepare | Share | document shop drawings, estimates of resources
• Prepare |Share | document MIS | reports | checklists | attendance
• Coordinate for all Finishing works
• Certify all Bills
• Review and furnish quantity and technical specification for Tendering
• Prepare site reports and file paperwork
• Work allocation between the team.

Requirements

• 5-14 years of experience
• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Knowledge of construction of residential | commercial high rise and villas
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Knowledge of AutoCAD
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with laborer’s, contractor’s workforce
• Knowledge of all related MEP services.
• Hands on and self-motivated person
