Job Description :


We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer with a proven track record in developing and managing cloud infrastructure, particularly focusing on hub platform development, networking, and disaster recovery processes.


The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS services, strong proficiency in Terraform and Python scripting, and familiarity with Agile methodologies. Additionally, prior exposure to AWS SCP/Policy definitions, AWS Organizations, and networking components such as transit gateways and AWS firewalls is essential for this role.


Roles and Responsibilities :
  • Develop and maintain robust AWS cloud infrastructure, with a specific emphasis on the development of a hub platform architecture.
  • Design and implement networking solutions within AWS, including transit gateways, VPC peering, and AWS firewalls, to ensure secure and efficient communication between cloud resources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement disaster recovery processes and ensure high availability of cloud-based applications and services.
  • Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) provisioning, configuration, and management, ensuring consistency and scalability across environments.
  • Write clean, maintainable code in Python to automate infrastructure tasks, streamline processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Participate in Agile delivery practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to deliver high-quality solutions within defined timelines.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, gather feedback, and continuously improve cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture, networking configurations, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Monitor AWS environments for performance, security, and cost optimization opportunities, implementing necessary adjustments and improvements.
  • Stay updated on emerging AWS services, best practices, and industry trends, incorporating relevant technologies to enhance cloud infrastructure capabilities.

Mandatory Skills :

  • Strong proficiency in AWS services, with practical experience in designing and managing cloud-based solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking principles and best practices, including subnetting, routing, and network security.
  • Experience with implementing and managing AWS firewalls, security groups, and network ACLs.
  • Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management, including writing Terraform modules and templates.
  • Advanced scripting skills in Python, with the ability to automate infrastructure tasks and develop custom solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools, such as JIRA, for managing project delivery and collaboration.
Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory but Desirable) :
  • Experience with AWS SCP/Policy Definitions and AWS Organizations for centralized policy management.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and containerization technologies.
  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms, such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and their networking capabilities.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
