Manager Procurement

The Manager – Sourcing will be responsible for driving strategic sourcing and procurement for IT, Professional Services, and Insurance categories across Dr. Lal PathLabs’ diagnostic network, including collection centers, laboratories, and corporate functions.

The role will play a critical part in enabling the company’s digital transformation, operational efficiency, and risk management by ensuring timely availability of high-quality services and solutions at optimal cost — while maintaining compliance, patient data security, and business continuity standards.

Here is What You Will Do

•Category Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement category strategies for IT infrastructure, digital platforms, software applications, and professional service engagements in alignment with business and clinical needs.
• Conduct spend analysis and market intelligence to identify cost optimization, vendor consolidation, and innovation opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with key functions such as IT, HR, Finance, Legal, Quality, and Operations to forecast demand and plan sourcing activities.
• Ensure category strategies support business scalability, lab network expansion, and digital health initiatives.

•Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Execution:

• Lead end-to-end sourcing for IT hardware, software, managed services, cloud and cybersecurity solutions, ensuring data privacy and uptime standards critical to patient service delivery.
• Source and manage professional services including consulting, audit, HR services, and marketing agencies — ensuring alignment with company standards and commercial efficiency
• Manage corporate insurance procurement covering employee health, medical malpractice, asset, and business continuity insurance; coordinate with insurers and brokers for renewals, claims support, and risk coverage.
• Execute RFQs/RFPs, lead commercial and contractual negotiations, and ensure all purchases comply with internal approval and documentation norms.
• Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) and value-based sourcing decisions.

•Vendor & Contract Management

• Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships with IT vendors, service partners, and insurance providers.
• Define and monitor vendor performance metrics – uptime, service quality, responsiveness, and compliance with healthcare and IT security standards (HIPAA-equivalent, ISO, etc.)..
• Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to review and finalize contracts, ensuring protection of patient data, confidentiality, and business interests.
• Maintain accurate and audit-ready vendor and contract repositories for assigned categories.

•Governance, Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure all sourcing activities comply with Dr. Lal PathLabs’ procurement policy, ethical guidelines, and healthcare regulations.
• Drive procurement transparency and maintain complete audit trails for all vendor engagements.
• Identify potential risks in IT and insurance categories — including data protection, business continuity, and operational dependency — and drive mitigation plans.
• Support internal and external audits, including documentation and compliance reporting.

•Financial Management & Continuous Improvement:

• Deliver annual cost savings, vendor consolidation, and process efficiency targets across managed categories.
• Track and report sourcing KPIs, savings, cycle times, and supplier performance dashboards.
• Continuously improve sourcing processes through digital tools (ERP/e-sourcing) and automation.
• Support cross-functional projects such as digital lab automation, enterprise software upgrades, or analytics platforms by providing procurement expertise.
