- Be responsible for training and mentoring developers on the team and recommending actions around capacity planning & career planning.

- Work with the technical project management to create and maintain a prioritized backlog and schedule for the team

- Be responsible for architectural decisions in consultation with other members of the engineering leadership

- Provide technical leadership to multiple teams of both in office/remote software engineers.

- Be able to diagnose and troubleshoot production problems.

- Identify technical risks to the sprint commitments early on and to ensure we meet business objectives.

- Review Pull Requests and do code reviews.

- Ensure clarity on NFR and address these requirements during the Architecture definition phase & make sure these are realized during the engineering and deployment phase

Skills / Experience Required :

- 8+ years of experience in core software development

- Should have experience working in product based companies building data products.

- Leading teams successfully in a dynamic, fast time to market and customer focused environment

- Working with small, agile development teams.

- 3+ years of experience in architecting solutions with focus on server-side web applications, REST APIs, and / or microservices

- Should have strong experience in working with Python and related technologies.

- Should have good experience on below technologies - Databases: MySQL, NoSQL (DynamoDB), Postgres, HBase - DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow

- Proficient in creating technical documents like Architecture views, Technology Architecture blueprint and design specification

- Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery using Azure DevOps or similar

- Should have experience in creating and managing Cloud infrastructure for deploying and scaling the application.

- Good experience in Data pipelines or distributed message queues

- DB Index Management, Partitioning and System Catalogs

- Performance tuning, Query tuning by generating and explaining plan for SQL queries.

- Knowledge and hands-on work experience in Docker is a must.

- Passion for software security

- Eagerness to learn new technology and solve problems

- Inclusive, roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic show a willingness to participate in daily workloads when needed to meet deadlines

Pluses :

- Cybersecurity concepts and technologies

- HIPAA, GDPR, and other relevant compliance experience.

Good to have below skills :


- Distributed File Systems: HDFS - Distributed Data Processing: Hadoop Map Reduce, Parallel Processing, Stream Processing, Flume, Splunk, Kafka, Spark, Flink - DevOps: Ansible, Chef, Airflow
