About Us:Ducom Aerospace specializes in space, defense, drones, and robotics. This position will be in a new division of the organization specializing in robotics, automation and sensing.Your Role:You will work within a fast-paced technical team handling the development of advanced robotic and sensing products. This position will be a hands-on engineering role with plenty of room for creativity and growth.Work ExperienceYou must have a solid background in SolidWorksA strong grasp of GD&T, manufacturing and finishing processes is requiredExperience designing Special Purpose Machines (SPM), Robots or other complex/heavy machinery is preferred.Work experience of at least 5 years is a mustResponsibilitiesDesign and development of electromechanical systems for automation, testing, and measurements.System, sub-system detailing, and DFM and DFA reviews.Participating in hands-on product integrationAnalyze system performance and troubleshoot mechanical issues.Prepare documentation, including calculations, simulations, assembly guides, purchase lists, ISO and AS compliance documents, etc. Participate in project reviewsRequirementsBachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) is requiredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a small and fast-paced teamAttention to detail and a commitment to delivering truly high-qualityThings that will make your application strongerSubmit a short cover letter explaining why you are a good fit for this job.Show us examples of your work (where possible).Gain familiarity with our company and products before your interview.
