We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to oversee, manage, and optimize our database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in database architecture, performance tuning, backup & recovery, high availability, and security best practices across multiple database platforms.


Key Responsibilities

  • Database Administration: Install / Setup, configure, and maintain production, staging, and development databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB).
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and tune database performance to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
  • Backup & Recovery: Implement and manage backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and replication solutions.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure database security, user access controls, encryption, and compliance with industry regulations
  • High Availability: Configure and maintain clustering, failover, and replication for mission-critical systems.
  • Data Migrations: Plan and execute schema changes, upgrades, and database migrations with minimal impact.
  • Monitoring & Automation: Develop monitoring dashboards, alerts, and automated maintenance scripts.
  • Collaboration: Partner with developers to optimize queries, schema design, and indexing strategies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date database documentation, procedures, and change logs.
  • PII Tagging : Tag attributes in PII and non PII for every attribute added in the database.
  • ETL Management: Expert in bin log setup and sync for Datawarehouse ETL.
  • Cost Management: Optimization of cost for databases.



Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience as a DBA in production environments.
  • Strong proficiency in MySQL RDS and MongoDb.
  • Advanced skills in SQL query optimization, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with replication, clustering, and high availability configurations.
  • Proficiency in backup/recovery tools and disaster recovery planning like Percona.
  • Strong understanding of database security, encryption, and access control.
  • Strong understanding with cloud database services (AWS RDS).
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, or equivalent will be plus.
  • Scripting experience (Shell, Python, or similar) for automation will be a plus.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RDS MYSQL, NoSQL databases (MongoDB,).
  • Proven track record of handling high-pressure production incidents.
  • Scripting experience (Shell, Python, or similar) for automation
