Job Description:

We are seeking an individual who can provide an "outsider's perspective" to ESG, offering in-depth expertise in AWS database migration and practices.

Working closely with our L6 database workstream leads and migration workstream lead, you will be responsible for undertaking decoupling analysis, identifying migration patterns, and implementing AWS best Review existing databases and dependencies, and plan, build, and migrate data to target state databases.

- Assess security requirements and implement appropriate controls for the Minimal Viable Product (MVP) build-out.

- Create a threat model for the MVP application.

- Database design and build: Assess and document current data sources, access controls, integration, and migration requirements.

- Define end-state database architecture aligned with microservices-based application architecture.

- Build infrastructure as a service scripts and set up target state database service on AWS.

- Convert source schema to meet target database requirements.

- Develop transformation logic and migrate data from source to target database.

- Develop delivery and migration plans aligned with customer security requirements.

Skills & Requirements: Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master's.

- 5-10 years of experience in AWS database migration.

- Proficiency in AWS services and MVP concepts.

- Strong knowledge of database migration best practices.

- Experience with database design and building infrastructure on AWS.

- Ability to analyze and document complex data sources and dependencies.

- Familiarity with security controls and threat modeling.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
