The Techno-Functional Consultant will work on new functionality implementations, upgrades, and support for FIS Asset Finance (Ambit) solutions. This role combines functional expertise in asset finance and leasing with technical proficiency in system configuration, customization, and integration.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation & Configuration
  • Configure and customize FIS Asset Finance modules to meet client requirements for origination module, but proficiency in other parts of application covering servicing, collections, and accounting is also preferred.
  • Design and implement Business Logic Designer (BLD) rules for complex business processes.
  • Define and manage Data Publishing Rules for data distribution and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain Plug-ins for extending system functionality.
  • Implement Pre-Save and Post-Save code execution logic to enforce validations and automate workflows.
  • Business Analysis
  • Gather and analyze client requirements; translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Identify gaps and propose solutions or workarounds while awaiting product enhancements.
  • Technical Tasks
  • Perform data elements migration, conversion, and reconciliation activities.
  • Support integration with external systems using APIs, XML, JSON, or other protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve configuration or technical issues.
  • Client Interaction
  • Train client staff on system functionality and best practices.
  • Provide second-level support and manage issues through resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Project Leadership
  • Act as solution owner for assigned projects, ensuring configurations meet business requirements.
  • Mentor junior consultants and assist in complex solution design.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Functional Expertise
  • Strong understanding of asset finance and leasing processes, including origination, servicing.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in asset finance.
  • Technical Skills
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Business Logic Designer (BLD) for rule-based configurations.
  • Data Publishing Rules for reporting and data distribution.
  • Plug-ins development for custom functionality.
  • Pre-Save and Post-Save execution logic for validations and automation.
  • Proficiency in SQL, reporting tools (Crystal Reports), and data migration techniques.
  • Exposure to integration technologies (XML, JSON, APIs).
  • Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage client expectations and deliver under pressure.
  • Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in asset finance domain and/or FIS Asset Finance implementations.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Ambit Asset Finance (AAF) or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of commercial loan origination and leasing industry practices.
