Symbiosis Skills & Professional University has established the Symbiosis Digital Manufacturing Academy, a state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre located in Darawali (Paud), Pune. This Centre offers specialized and advanced skill courses in Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for manufacturing and industrial processes.
  • Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems from leading platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi, etc.
  • Integrate and calibrate sensors, actuators, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and robotic components into automation solutions.
  • Develop and interpret electrical and control system schematics and panel layouts.
  • Conduct testing, validation, and commissioning of automation systems on-site.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes and improve system performance.
  • Provide technical support, documentation, and training to maintenance and operations teams.
  • Ensure safety standards, industry regulations, and quality protocols are followed throughout project execution.
  • Stay updated with Industry 4.0 trends and implement IIoT, data acquisition, and smart manufacturing solutions where applicable.


Required Qualifications:


  • Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Proven experience in industrial automation, control systems, or related domains.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI/SCADA design, and field devices.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment


Preferred Skills (Added Advantage):


  • Experience with robotics, vision systems, or MES integration.
  • Exposure to Industry 4.0, IIoT solutions, and digital twin concepts.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools and electrical panel design.
  • Certification or training from recognized automation companies (e.g., Siemens, Festo, Bosch Rexroth, etc.).
