About the Role

The VP – Engineering will lead the technology organization, partnering closely with the founder to shape and execute the product and tech roadmap. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution—driving new feature development, system performance, platform scalability, and team development.

This is an opportunity to architect and scale a high-impact consumer product while nurturing a high-performing engineering culture.


Key Responsibilities


Technology Leadership

  • Define and drive the long-term tech vision aligned with product and business goals.
  • Plan and deliver new features, enhancements, and platform improvements.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
  • Establish strong engineering processes, learning pathways, and leadership within the group.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee system stability, performance, uptime, and reliability.
  • Implement best practices across code quality, CI/CD, observability, and incident management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product, business, and operations teams to translate ideas into scalable solutions.
  • Ensure seamless execution across projects, integrations, and releases.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of experience with 5+ Years in engineering leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in building and scaling engineering teams of 30+ members.
  • Strong experience working in high-growth startup environments, preferably in B2C product companies with relevant experience in working on high scale platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier engineering institute.
  • Deep understanding of system architecture, performance tuning, and scalable product development.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on problem-solving and execution.
  • Comfortable working full-time from the Bellandur, Bangalore office (5 days a week).
