Job Title: Solution Architect & Sr. Developer - Power BI and Microsoft Tools for Supply Chain Analytics

Overview:

We invite solution architects who are passionate about leveraging the power of Power BI, Power Automate and Azure Logic Apps to spearhead the development of a robust supply chain analytics platform to solve complex supply chain challenges.

Job Description:

The Solution Architect will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of our advanced analytics platform that delivers real-time visibility, decision intelligence, and resilience. This role demands a blend of technical prowess, business acumen, and forward-thinking leadership to deliver a solution that supports real-time data processing, predictive analytics, and actionable insights.

You will liaise between subject matter experts & technical teams to ensure that the analytics platform aligns with our business goals and addresses the unique challenges of our supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Architect scalable and a robust supply chain analytics platform using Power BI and other Microsoft technologies to support business intelligence, data integration, and analytics needs.

2. Design and implement secure data pipelines for structured and unstructured data, storage solutions, and analytics tools within Power BI & Azure.

3. Expertise is creating import/composite semantic data models connecting to multiple source systems (SQL, Excel, Flat files).

4. Experienced in building custom visuals, interactive reports and dashboards with writeback and data alerts capability that offers intuitive user experiences & actionable insights.

5. Developing visually appealing and insightful custom visualizations and Power Maps.

6. Develop custom visualizations for enabling supply chain digital twins in Power BI that offer intuitive user experiences & actionable insights.

7. Setting up the business rules engine using Power BI's Power Query and DAX formulas to define rules for data transformation, validation, and calculations using data models

8. Setup workflows with the integration of Power Automate & Power BI that will trigger based on business events or conditions.

9. Good Knowledge and experience on Power BI service for managing data connections, Gateways, Accesses, roles, Scheduled refreshes etc.

10. Expert in writing DAX queries for creating calculated columns and measures in Power BI Desktop. Also experience working with Dax Studio and Tabular editor is a plus.

11. Strong knowledge in Power BI on how to import, shape, and transform data for business intelligence (BI), Visualize data, author reports, schedule automated refresh of reports and create and share dashboards based on reports in Power BI desktop.

12. Design and develop automated processes, workflows, and APIs using Microsoft Power Automate

13. Hands-on with Microsoft Azure modules including Azure Data Factory, Azure Sql Database/Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data lake services, Azure Functions and key vaults.

14. Ensure that the solution adheres to best practices in data governance, security, and compliance.

15. Monitor and optimize the performance of the analytics platform, ensuring seamless availability and user satisfaction

16. Must be abreast of new features and capabilities within the Power BI ecosystem and Microsoft Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, engineering or information technology, or related field.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a solution architect & developer role with a focus on business analytics and BI platforms.

- Expert-level knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, DAX, Power Automate, and Azure services.

- Experience with SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and other data warehousing technologies.

- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and the analytics needs within this domain.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

- Microsoft certifications in Power BI or Azure are highly desirable.
