Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a talented SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The SQL DBA will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of SQL Server databases in a 24/7 operating environment. This position requires expertise in SQL Server administration, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The SQL DBA will be part of a team supporting critical systems, with priority levels defined based on business impact.

Role & responsibilities :

- Application administrator will be responsible for the availability of various Application components and underlying environments.

- Configure and harden environments in line with documentation provided.

- Resolve issues/requests within SLAs

- Monitor availability of enough disk space

- Ensure various backups are in place

- Ensure all scheduled jobs run successfully

- The administrator should be able to work on multiple environments at the same time.

- Analyze Log Files to find out the root cause of the problem to troubleshoot.

- Managing Production changes through release process on DEV / TEST / PROD.

- Provided support P1 supported 24/7, p2/3 during standard EST bus hrs.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Understanding of the deployment process

- Good understanding of RPOs and RTOs

- Experience in analyzing various error logs, troubleshoot issues

- Perform RCAs, document issues, ensure CAPA is done.

- Thorough understanding of SSL Certificates, Load Balancers, Web Application Firewalls

- Understanding of API/ file/FTP based integration with third party systems

- Thorough knowledge of SQL Server Database Instance

- Good understanding of SQL Server Security features

- Good SQL Server troubleshooting skills

- Good knowledge of configuring SSIS, SSRS, deploying RDL files for the SSRS reports.

- Good knowledge of Windows Server OS and components like IIS

- Good interpersonal and written/oral communication skills

- Good Knowledge in writing and analyzing the PowerShell scripts.

- Good problem-solving ability

- P1 supported 24/7, p2/3 during standard EST bus hrs

Exp : 5 to 8 years

Location : Pune/Remote currently
