Lead - Server Infrastructure, Technology and Operations

In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.Job Purpose The Server infrastructure lead plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of our servers, operating system, virtualization, backup and storage infrastructure. He will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day to day operation, projects, maintaining the uptime of infrastructure. He will also lead a team of outsourced technicians and contractors, to manage projects, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.Key AccountabilitiesTeam ManagementServers, Operating system, Virtualization, Backup and storage managementVendor managementVulnerable and Patch managementBudgeting, Audit and Risk managementJob Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for overall delivery of Enterprise Operations team (Linux, Windows, Vmware, Openshift, Storage, Backup and Redis) in coordination with App Support.Works with and drives forward improvements within the managed teamsActs as a referral point for issues, escalations and complaints.Crisis ManagementManages and contribute OTACE/CSAT for owned services.Ensures and maintain platform services uptime including infrastructure for core banking application.Provides analysis, feedback and actions based on trends, root cause analysis and other reports.Drive and participate in various service excellence initiatives.Team management / ramp up/ ramp down, skills retention, attrition management and appraisals.Manage people performance, skills, motivation and growthGood knowledge of System Administration on Linux, Windows, Vmware, Enterprise storage, Openshift, Postgres, Redis and Kafka.Knowledge in Security Management by server hardening, Patch Management, Vulnerability fixingGood knowledge on ITIL process and PracticesBasic Knowledge on SAN / S3 / NAS storage management will have added advantageHas budget responsibility for Servers Hardware and OS Services including assigned staff, other operational expenses and capital plans for basis business growth.Provide leadership in the areas of problem identification and resolution, answering questions and providing adviceCoordinate problem resolution with IT subject matter experts, other departments or outside vendors as appropriate. Track and report recurring problems and assign personnel for appropriate follow up to resolve the issues.
